OAR schools in Cavite sign deal with CEREBRO® anew

At least three campuses of the Order of Augustinian Recollects in the province of Cavite will once again use CEREBRO® as their e-learning platform for School Year 2021-2022.

Rev. Fr. Rafael Pecson, OAR signed the deal on behalf of San Sebastian College-Recoletos de Cavite Main and Cañacao Campuses, and Sacred Heart School of Cavite-Recoletos de Alfonso on June 21, 2021, Monday.

Last school year, around 5,000 users composed of students, faculty members, administrators, and parents from the said campuses have utilized CEREBRO® as part of their learning continuity plans in line with the Department of Education’s guidelines on online distance learning during the pandemic.

CEREBRO® currently offers ready-to-use course presentations, auto-graded assessments, interactive simulations, and printable modules that will help teachers jumpstart online teaching with the least preparation possible, allowing them to save up to 400 hours of preparation time per year.

Originally founded in 2014 as an academic support company, CEREBRO® has pivoted to becoming a full-time educational technology provider in 2019 even before the onset of the Taal Volcano eruption and the COVID-19 pandemic which strongly affected the Philippine educational system.

CEREBRO® is an alumnus of Ideaspace, the non-profit startup accelerator of the MVP Group, and it was also recognized among the Top 20 RESQUE Startups vs. COVID-19 of QBO Innovation Hub for solving an urgent problem in the education sector.

Earlier this year, CEREBRO® was chosen among the incubatees of the DOST TOMASInno Center, the technology business incubator of the University of Santo Tomas in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology.
